First, congratulation for your forum, it is rich in informations, but I've a big problem, if sometimes I can imagine what's you're talking, it's very difficult for me because I don't speak nor understand Spanish, and also, sorry for my english, but there is 25 years then I'haven't practised...

My pseudo is Spitfire220 and I'm serching informations for our museum relating the story of the Airbase of Chièvres in Belgium.

Then, I'm looking for photographies, papers, letters, or materials, for our museum:

With some friends, we are seaching all informations about the luftwaffe which was established at Chièvres in Belgium between 1940-1944.

Then, I'm searching all informations about the luftwaffe when they were on this base.

I know that Germans burnt all documents in 1944 on the center place of Chièvres when the allied forces came in, and we have not a lot of military information.

We need you and your help could be great thing for our museum. ypour help is very important.

If you have informations for the Italian 43rd Group period between 1940-1942, i'm also interrested.

Most difficult, all informations about the first use of the airport by the germans in 1917 is also researched...

I know no specific book or files about Luftwaffe activities in Chièvres, but the USAF Historical Studies may be of your interest, in short:

• Number 152. The German Air Force in France and the Low Countries 1939-1940, by Wilhelm Speidel (1958)

• Number 158. The German Air Force versus the Allies in the West, The Air War in the West, by Josef Schmid and Walter Grabmann (1954).

Thanks a lot José luis, I go to have a look on these informations, it's a beginning, the research of the story is an eternal investigation, and the fact that the german burnt all their documents in1944, it's very difficult...

But we do all we can for the story of our airbase...

I've done a research about these germans squadrons but there's not a lot of informations about them on the net.

I've donwload all documents of the AFHRA documentations, and I've 2880 page to read... I hope finding a lot of unknowed informations...

If some of you have some archives or photos I'll be happy to have a copy.
